With Germany support, Kagera has established a Vocational Campus, a project that aims to create positive impact on youth attitude towards learning and offer opportunities for further education and professional training.
He reiterated the importance of the Campus and committed to support the provision of an appropriate piece of land for the project which would be undertaken jointly by a Non-governmental organisation (NGO)-Jambo Bukoba, with support from district councils and local communities.
The Campus will also serve as a professional environment for the training of the teachers.
This will contribute significantly to the value of physical education in the region. The government is determined to give the sports sector new impetus, adding the region has the potential to produce great athletes and footballers if deliberate efforts are made to nurture talents.
