The RC was speaking during a ceremony to award police officers who performed well last year. He said that police officers play a big role in ensuring peace and security in the country and urged them to continue with the spirit. He said the gifts to the officers must be used to motivate others to work hard and make sure they serve the public diligently.
Among the gifts were 90 iron sheets to 12 officers, 12 motorcycles to 12 officers and refrigerators to 16 officers. The RC also promised to provide 1,200 cement bags to the officers who were given iron sheets.
Dar es Salaam Special Zone Police Commander, Lazaro Mambosasa, said Police appreciate good cooperation from the RC. He said the city is in safe hands and that police are always ready to face any threats from criminals.
