According to a statement released yesterday by the federation’s Media and Communication Officer, Clifford Ndimbo, Wambura was due to be grilled by the TFF Ethics Committee, which met in Dar es Salaam yesterday.
The Vice President was supposed in person or through writing or lawyer to face the ethics committee. Wambura, who is also the Chairman of the TFF Finance Committee, is accused of receiving or taking illegally undisclosed amount of federation money contrary to section 73(1) of TFF Code of conducts issued in 2013.
He is also accused of forging a letter that showed he was entitled to be paid JEKC System Limited’s money knowing the payment was illegal and contrary to section 73(7) of TFF code of conducts of 2013. He is also accused of acting in a manner that tarnishes the image of the football federation contrary to article number 50(1) of TFF constitution amended in 2015.
Meanwhile, Ammy Ninje has been appointed to coach the National Under-20 team, Ngorongoro Heroes, Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) announced yesterday. TFF said Ninje was called because Kim Poulsen and Oscar Mirambo have been tasked to train the national Under-17 national team, Serengeti Boys camped for CECAFA Junior Championship to be held in Burundi from Aprili 1 to 15.
Ninje will lead Ngorongoro Heroes in their international matches against Morocco on March 17 and Mozambique on Marchi 21. He will be also in charge of the team in their CAF Under 20 Qualifier against Congo DRC The winner of the match will face Mali in the second round to be staged in May this year. Previously, Ninje coached the Mainland team that participated in the Senior Challenge Cup tournament held in Kenya
