A day long 18 holes stable ford tournament is open for both men, ladies and junior golfers. DGC golf captain, Akhil Yusufali told the ‘Daily News on Saturday’ in Dar es Salaam yesterday that preparations to stage the tournament are complete.
He said that the annual event is being organised by DGC in collaboration with Britam Insurance of Dar es Salaam. The aim he said is to promote and harmonise friendship among company’s customers and golfers.
“It is an open tournament for all golfers, regardless of their gender and clubs…they are all welcomed,” he said. Yusufali added that invitation has been extended to different local clubs and they have received good response.
“I want to thank all golfers for their good response, we assure them of a wonderful event,” he said. He said that there will be morning and afternoon tee off for the event for those who have registered at the event.
The captain said that the course was in good condition ready for the event and hope golfers will enjoy the day. He said sponsor Britam Insurance have also prepared fabulous prizes for winners in each category.
