Bakoba FC eclipse Kitendaguro in Kamala Cup

Striker Anthony Robert opened the score for Bakoba FC scoring with a powerful shot in the 13th minute. Kitendaguro made a counter attack through Fidelinus Fidelis and Evodius Kapilipili combining well upfront only to see their efforts stopped by the keen Bakoba defenders.

Striker Msuva Denis added the tally for Bakoba FC in the 36th minute utilising a well-calculated pass from Charles Christopher. On resumption, Kitendaguro substituted Shamte Ali in favour of Nassor Juma, while Raphael Msaju came in for Apiga Mnuel. Left winger Ezekiel Isaya scored the third goal for Bakoba in 65th minute, while Datius Peter rounded off the score in the 74th minute.

Kahororo FC were to face Ijuganyondo FC in another quarter final today at same venue. At least 16 teams are participating in the Kamala Cup. They include Hamugembe, Rwamishenye, Bakoba, Kitendaguro, Polisi Kagera, Kibeta, Bilele, Kashai and Buhembe.

Others are Kahororo, Miembeni, Nshambya, Ijuganyondo, Nyanga, Kagondo and Bukoba Veteran FC. The winner will pocket 2m/-, runners up will get 1.5m/- and third winner will get 1m/- while the best scorer, best player and best referee will each get 100,000/-. Councillor for Ijuganyondo Ward, Al- Masound Kalumuna organised the tournament.
